Lundkvist Palm Garden Malama is located in Leilani Estates, a subdivision near the small town of Pahoa, about 25 miles south of Hilo, on the windward (eastern) side of the Big Island of Hawai’i. The garden consists of 5 acres with more than 5000 individual palms representing approximately 625 different species of palms as well as many cycads and other plants. The elevation, abundant rainfall and specific location of the garden provide for a near perfect growing environment for almost all palms as well as many other plants.
